What amazed me was how little reaction Claude got in Belleville. Our waitress dropped off the check without comment. At least two people walked by without even glancing at him. Groups inside the restaurant and across the street had no reaction.
Usually we bring Claude out of the car and get gawkers, questions and comments before I can walk 5 steps with him. Something is just... off with people in Belleville, I guess.
Yeah, I didn't understand it either. I think everyone was just too busy being wrapped up in their own worlds and problems.
